Other Vital Roles Required By The Tax Collector:

ON TIME MONTHLY REPORTS:
The tax collector must file a monthly report by state law with the taxing districts. This will be done promptly each month.

AUDIT DOCUMENTATION:
A tax collector must retain certain documents for the yearly audit or an audit that may be requested by the taxing districts. I will ensure all my records will be in compliance with the law and readily available.

NOTICE FOR SHERIFF SALE:
It is the duty of the tax collector to notify the sheriff of any unpaid taxes outstanding against any property advertised for sale by the sheriff. When a sheriff’s sale produces sufficient funds to cover outstanding tax liens, those liens where notice has been provided take priority over claims of other judgment creditors. The sheriff pays the taxes out of the proceeds immediately after payment of the costs of the sale. Making this procedure a priority is crucial in obtaining any unpaid taxes.

INFORMATION FOR TITLE AND CLOSING AGENTS:
During the sale of a home the buyer and seller need to obtain documentation to make sure the taxes are paid on the said property. It will be my goal that all these documents are supplied in an expedited manner, not to hold up the sale of any property in my taxing district.

I am asking all of Delaware Township to support my campaign and get out and Vote May 20th.  I am on the Republican Primary Ballot. But as a tax collector, I will be working for all the taxpayers of this district. You can also write my name in on either ticket.  Let’s get this done and help me bring competency and professionalism to the Tax Collector Position!
